We are seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to oversee a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This role involves critical oversight of clinical staff, managing staffing allocations, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures, and fostering effective communication with leadership and medical personnel. While experience in neurology is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement. Preference will be given to candidates with ambulatory care experience and a background in assisting with various medical procedures. Prior experience in a supervisory capacity is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to guarantee high-quality patient care.
- Manage the scheduling of physicians and nursing personnel to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
- Oversee clinical staff assignments, adapting to fluctuations in patient volume and physician availability.
- Monitor departmental budgets and prepare administrative reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and implement quality improvement measures.
- Provide guidance and training to nursing staff on best practices and new procedures.
- Manage human resources functions, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications:
Current nursing licensure in Texas is required, along with BLS certification. ACLS/PALS certification is preferred, as is specialty certification.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required. An Associate's degree with relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
Experience:
A minimum of three years of nursing experience is required, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This position may require lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently.
