Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Architect to join our team at NOV. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our hybrid IT/OT network infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of performance, security, and reliability across all operational environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage firewall, wireless, and OT network infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between IT and OT environments.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls across multiple vendors, including Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager) and other industry-leading products such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA, and Check Point.
  • Monitor network performance and security across IT and OT networks, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop, enforce, and regularly review network security policies and procedures, with a focus on compliance and risk management in OT environments.
  • Conduct regular network assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis, particularly in OT environments that may involve critical infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT and OT teams to integrate security solutions, improve network performance, and support operational technologies.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues across both IT and OT networks.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and updates, with an emphasis on maintaining clear and accurate records for OT environments.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in network technologies, security threats, and OT-specific vulnerabilities, ensuring the organization is protected against emerging risks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on firewalls, wireless technologies, and OT environments.
  • Extensive experience with network security products from multiple vendors, including Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, and others.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles, best practices, and the unique challenges of securing OT networks.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing wireless networks, with experience in both IT and OT settings.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools across hybrid IT/OT environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in high-stakes environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across IT and OT teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE (Network Security Expert), Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSE, or equivalent are preferred.
