Alexander & Schmidt seeks a seasoned Senior Loss Control Consultant to perform inspections and prepare in-depth reports for insurance underwriting purposes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in loss control services, with a strong understanding of commercial property and casualty lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough property assessments, including evaluations of sprinkler systems, racking systems, and other critical components.
  • Analyze inland marine coverages, including builders risk, contractor's equipment, motor truck cargo, and other specialty coverages.
  • Examine commercial general liability policies, including premises, operations, products, and completed operations.
  • Assess workers' compensation compliance and workplace safety.
  • Identify trends, root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize losses.
  • Provide risk improvement services, including training, consulting, hazard analysis, and regulatory assessments.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication skills, including exceptional writing ability, organizational skills, and computer proficiency.
  • Travel within a reasonable territory, approximately 50 miles.
About the Role

This challenging role will involve working with contractors, real estate, retail, warehouse and distribution, and manufacturing clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality, accurate loss control surveys that guide underwriters in selecting profitable businesses and assist insureds in controlling losses.

Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in loss control services.
  • Extensive understanding of commercial property and casualty lines.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Professional certifications, such as CSP, OHST, ALCM, and/or ARM, are preferred but not required.
