Job Title: Graduate Student Researcher in Nuclear Science

Join the Nuclear and Radiochemistry Group in the Chemistry Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Graduate Student Researcher in Nuclear Science. This paid graduate student internship offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of Nuclear and Radiochemistry projects, providing hands-on technical experience and professional development opportunities.

About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented graduate student to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in a Physical Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Business-related discipline and be currently enrolled in an accredited graduate degree program.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in Nuclear and Radiochemistry, including radiochemistry and separation science applications, advanced radiation spectrometry, and nuclear nonproliferation and safeguards science.
  • Develop and implement experimental techniques and data analysis methods in support of scientific research.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Communicate research findings and results through presentations and publications.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate degree program in a Physical Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Business-related discipline.
  • Strong background in a Physical Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Business-related discipline.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
