Job Summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated and talented graduate student to join our Nuclear and Radiochemistry Group. As a research assistant, you will work alongside our team of experts to conduct research in nuclear and radiochemistry, contributing to the development of new technologies and methods for nuclear security and nonproliferation.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in nuclear and radiochemistry, including experiments, data analysis, and literature reviews.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement research projects, including developing experimental protocols and data analysis plans.
  • Present research findings at internal and external meetings, including seminars and conferences.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and methods for nuclear security and nonproliferation.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program in a physical science, engineering, statistics, or business-related discipline.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with experience in nuclear and radiochemistry or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
