We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomarker Specialist to join our team at Takeda Pharmaceutical. As a key member of our Biomarker Science and Technologies department, you will play a critical role in supporting clinical bioanalytical and biomarker scientific operations and logistics with external vendors. In this exciting role, you will develop and implement process-related strategies and deliverables for the BST sub-team, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results and reports. About the Role:
This Senior Biomarker Specialist position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of scientists, clinicians, and vendor labs to support product strategy. You will collaborate with stakeholders to develop efficient processes for execution of bioanalytical and biomarker activities, partner with BST colleagues to build effective and strategic relationships with QA&C, clinical operations, and other key functions within Takeda. Your expertise in sample management activities across multiple projects, as well as your ability to work with diverse groups of scientists, clinicians, and internal and external team players, will be essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement process-related strategies and deliverables for the BST sub-team.
  • Oversee operational deliverables for different therapeutic modalities across the Takeda portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the BST sub-team leader and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality results and reports.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A PhD degree in a scientific discipline, or MS with 6+ years of experience, or BS with 8+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of drug development, clinical trial principles, and the role of bioanalysis and biomarkers in clinical studies.
  • Experience in sample management activities across multiple projects.
  • Excellent written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of FDA & ICH/GCP regulations and clinical laboratory specimen handling.
