Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Preconstruction Engineer to join our New Construction division in Seattle, Washington. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in establishing project scope, budget, and timelines. Your expertise will be essential in supporting our project managers and ensuring the successful delivery of complex, large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Request for Proposal (RFP) and procurement processes.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in conceptual estimating for large mechanical systems, working closely with an assigned preconstruction manager.
  • Manage scope and budget on assigned projects before the construction phase begins.
  • Coordinate equipment procurement with purchasing and outside vendors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Assist in developing Scope of Work for subcontractors and coordinating with the project management team.
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of trades, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Coordinate the McKinstry scope of work with project drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare and review contracts, drawings, specifications, and other resources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or a comparable degree.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project, with a working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Customer service and/or office administration experience a plus.
