Job Overview

The Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) Technical Program Manager (TPM) role is a critical position that ensures engineering teams achieve their goals. As a TPM, you will work across the PSET domain areas to create technical solutions, manage complex programs and initiatives, and drive delivery forecasting, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead alignment among Autodesk's divisional leadership, teams, divisions, and partners
  • Display judgment, anticipate potential bottlenecks, manage escalations, navigate trade-offs, and prioritize needs against technical constraints
  • Foster collaboration across organizational programs through OKR planning, dependency management, and swift removal of impediments
  • Shape strategy and requirements while being the point of contact for intricate programs
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to develop delivery plans
  • Partner with teams to provide technical solutions from design phase through delivery
  • Enhance automation of delivery processes, ensuring transparency and maintaining a single source of truth across design and operations
  • Drive risk management processes, including identification, analysis, and mitigation to proactively address potential issues
  • Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence through data-driven strategies and a Kaizen approach
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology
  • At least 8 years of experience in roles such as Technical Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, Software Architect, or similar, driving software development projects
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, software componentization, customization, Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, etc.), and RESTful web services
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate technical expertise with negotiation and influence
  • Proactive approach in stakeholder management and excel in building relationships
  • Utilize data analytics to enhance software operations and organizational efficiency
