Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Occupational Health

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Medical Group Alaska. As a key member of our occupational health team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our service members.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will conduct a variety of general medicine, occupational, and disability health examinations, including reviewing medical history and associated records, interpreting clinical data, and completing written reports and generating independent medical opinions (IMO).

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct occupational and disability health examinations, including general medicine, occupational, and disability health evaluations
  • Review medical history and associated records, interpret clinical data, and complete written reports and generate independent medical opinions (IMO)
  • Collaborate with other professional and support staff as needed and communicate with internal and client team members in determining the most effective and evidence-based way forward on behalf of the examinee populations
  • Provide primary medical evaluations, including initial review of laboratory, pulmonary function, and ECG studies, and documentation of examinee records in appropriate systems
  • Travel up to 30% to provide physical examinations for veterans and service members in multiple locations throughout the country
Requirements:
  • Unrestricted State medical licensure without limitations to perform full scope of authorized practice
  • Completed Education and training in an US accredited, post-baccalaureate (Masters) program
  • Minimum 3 years of post-graduate primary care experience
  • Ability to pass a medical clearance
  • Experience conducting occupational/disability medical examinations
