HCI Hospitality is a prominent multi-unit management organization situated in Manhattan, Kansas.
Our flagship brand, Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, boasts over 40 locations across the Midwest, Texas, and the East Coast.
In addition to managing three locally owned restaurants in the Manhattan and Junction City areas, we provide comprehensive catering services to the central Kansas region.
Recently, we expanded our operations by incorporating Booth Creek Wagyu, a meat processing facility in Riley, KS, along with a retail outlet in Manhattan.
In 2023, we further enhanced our retail presence with two new stores.
Position OverviewThe Human Resources Assistant Trainee will support the administrative functions of the HR department, ensuring the team remains organized and compliant with applicable employment regulations.
This role will be based at our corporate office and will involve communication with various internal departments as well as staff across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with onboarding processes and follow up on necessary documentation.
- Support the processing of personnel record modifications, including terminations, direct deposits, tax withholdings, and address changes.
- Manage shipping of packages and correspondence, selecting the most cost-effective courier options.
- Help maintain and organize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including application rejections.
- Conduct employment and wage verifications, both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with administrative and clerical processes, including word processing, file management, and office procedures.
Basic proficiency in Office 365 applications is required.
Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate information.
A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is necessary.
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is preferred.
