Upstate University Hospital is currently hiring an experienced Departmental Support Specialist to provide high-level administrative support to the Chair of Microbiology and Immunology and Director of the Global Health Institute. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and taking on new challenges.

Responsibilities include preparing correspondence, managing calendars, and supporting meeting preparation, as well as maintaining documents and electronic files. You will also provide administrative support for the medical school curriculum, coordinate lecturer schedules, update lecture materials online, and reserve rooms.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will coordinate preceptors, organize and schedule visiting professor research seminars and faculty recruitment visits, including travel reimbursement, and maintain and update department websites. A competitive salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per annum. Eligible candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and one year of administrative experience, or an Associate's degree and three years of administrative experience. Strong written and oral communication, computer, and analytical skills are required.
