Position Overview: The Facilities Maintenance Engineer is tasked with executing preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as routine and urgent services on mechanical and electrical systems within the facility. This role requires adherence to established protocols and compliance with all relevant regulations, including environmental, health, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute tasks in line with established processes and protocols.
  • Adhere to all internal and external regulations, including environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure operational efficiency and asset integrity.
  • Provide insights regarding the condition of systems and suggest improvements or repairs.
  • Monitor the facility through regular walkthroughs and inspections.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Respond to service requests and perform necessary maintenance tasks.
  • Document maintenance activities in the service management database, ensuring compliance with quality and contractual obligations.
  • Track and report on the status of maintenance work and initiate documentation for required approvals.
  • Assist in implementing a preventative maintenance program, ensuring all deficiencies are recorded and escalated.
  • Participate in facility-related projects as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, arranging for repairs or replacements as necessary.
  • Enhance tenant and customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.
  • Oversee the physical upkeep of the building, including heating, cooling, and electrical systems.
  • Perform necessary repairs independently.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with local and federal codes.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Painting and minor drywall repairs
    • Plumbing and appliance repairs
    • Electrical and HVAC repairs
    • Minor concrete work
    • Pressure washing
    • Building signage repairs
    • Locksmith services
    • Tenant services
    • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills Required:
  • HVAC certification and experience in a commercial environment.
  • A minimum of five years' experience as a Facilities Maintenance Engineer or in a related maintenance role.
  • Expertise in maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and use ladders up to 30 ft.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are a plus.
