Job Summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Laborer to join our team in Akron, CO. As a major buyer and trader of grains and oilseeds, CHS moves over two billion bushels annually through its network of river, rail, and export terminals. This is a great opportunity to earn extra cash over the next few months and gain experience in the agricultural industry.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently, including preparing trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, loading and unloading agricultural inputs, and controlling and monitoring all load out functions.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the commodities handled at the location and comply with company policy and government regulations pertaining to commodities.
  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner, including delivering products to customer sites and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal, and warehouse work, including driving a loader, loading/unloading inventory, and operating a forklift.
  • Promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisor.
Requirements
  • Must meet minimum age requirement.
  • Knowledge of operations and/or business operations preferred.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile preferred.
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred.
