Hourly Rate: $43.00 (Dependent on experience)

Licensure Reimbursement: State licensure reimbursement after 90 days of employment

Job Overview:

As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist, you will provide critical diagnostic services to a variety of patients while enjoying a dynamic work environment. This role requires independent work and flexibility, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mobile ultrasound services at various locations, including prisons, nursing homes, and home care facilities.
  • Perform ultrasound exams and capture clinically diagnostic, technically competent images.
  • Process and send ultrasound images to Radiologists for interpretation.
  • Check and verify orders in patient charts before performing exams, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Collaborate professionally with facility staff and maintain clear communication with dispatch and supervisors.
  • Maintain company-provided equipment and vehicle, ensuring all equipment is in working order.
  • Wear company uniform and respond promptly to urgent communications.
  • Follow safety and infection control protocols, including annual medical physical examinations and TB screenings.
  • Train new technologists as required and participate in professional development activities.
  • Document patient interactions and scan exam-related paperwork daily.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including HIPAA compliance, and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications:
  • Registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound (Required).
  • Must be Vascular and General Certified (ARDMS: RVT, CCI: RVS, or ARRT: R.T.(VS)) (Required).
  • Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program (Required).
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record (Required).
  • Must maintain all certifications, registries, and health requirements, providing documentation when requested.
  • COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption with supporting documentation (Required).

Physical Demands:
  • Lift equipment bags weighing 18-20 pounds into and out of vehicles and wheeled carts.
  • Pull wheeled carts up to 250 feet, requiring sustained force of 5-8 pounds.
