Job Summary

Mercy Medical Center is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Clinical Engineering department, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of diagnostic imaging related equipment located in various modalities throughout our health system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diagnostic imaging equipment, including MRI, CT, Cardiac Cath, Angiography, and Ultrasound machines.
  • Ensure all equipment-related maintenance services are in compliance with standard regulatory agencies.
  • Manage vendor contract maintenance for diagnostic imaging equipment, adhering to existing contract agreements.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Engineering Operations manager to ensure seamless equipment maintenance and repair services.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of diagnostic imaging equipment, including technical specifications and troubleshooting procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in field service, performing maintenance on radiographic and fluoroscopy equipment.
  • Experience in installation, testing, and repair of diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • OEM training from Siemens, GE Medical Systems, or other major imaging company leaders is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Meditech and Epic systems.
  • Experience with Performance Manager/NetLearning.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
