About the Role

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled FPGA and Embedded Systems Engineer to join our Digital Electronics and Electromagnetics Department in Chantilly, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex digital systems, including FPGA-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop FPGA-based systems, including hardware and software components
  • Develop and implement signal processing algorithms on FPGA and CPU-based platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA-based systems into larger projects
  • Conduct research and development to improve FPGA-based system performance and efficiency
  • Support customer programs by providing technical expertise and guidance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in FPGA design and development
  • Strong understanding of digital electronics and signal processing
  • Proficiency in FPGA development tools, such as Vivado and Quartus
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with machine learning architectures on FPGA and GPU-based hardware
  • Proficiency in popular SDR tools, such as GNURadio
  • Strong background in scientific programming using languages such as C, C++, and Python
