Senior Technical Support Specialist

SST Direct is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join their technical service group in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing company equipment with high quality.
About the Role
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to work with innovative laser technology solutions in various industries, including Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, and Scientific research communities. As a Field Service Engineer, you will support customers across North America, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair company equipment with high quality.
- Complete basic retrofits, software installations, and customer training.
- Work independently to resolve technical problems and maintain good relationships with customers.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is estimated at $30-$36.53 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, the position offers a generous 10k-15k relocation package for suitable candidates willing to relocate for the position. Full benefits include PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, LTD, STD, and more.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A two-year technical degree in engineering or a related field (preferred) or combination of training and work experience.
- Strong electrical and computer systems experience, as well as high-level diagnostic skills.
- Previous experience with robotics, lasers, automation systems, or mechatronics.
Travel Requirements
This role requires 100% travel within North America to support customers. Occasional overnights may be necessary. A valid driver's license and ability to obtain a US passport are also required.
