Key Responsibilities- Conduct polysomnographic testing with precision and attention to detail.
- Prepare patients both physically and emotionally for testing procedures.
- Document patient responses and actions taken during testing.
- Provide discharge instructions and support to patients post-testing.
- Maintain and prepare exam rooms for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Assist in training and orienting new staff members.
- Participate in educational programs to enhance professional development.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A diploma or degree in Polysomnographic Technology from an accredited institution.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification or a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Tennessee State License as a Polysomnographic Technologist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Proficiency in using computerized polysomnographic testing equipment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. A collaborative approach to teamwork and patient care is essential.
