Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Johnson Memorial Hospital. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing polysomnograms, reviewing patient records, and setting up and calibrating equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform polysomnograms and review patient records to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Set up and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor polysomnograms and recognize and record clinical and physiological events.
  • Score polysomnograms and generate reports.
  • Utilize infection control procedures and handle contaminated equipment properly.
  • Comply with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Interact with home health care services and provide accurate and timely information to customers.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement/Performance Improvement activities as determined by hospital administration.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (R.PSG.T.) certification.
  • Previous education in allied health or life sciences is helpful.
  • Current BLS for CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required.
