Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, place, and retain volunteers and interns to support the mission of TrueCare.
  • Assess volunteer needs and develop strategies to meet those needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and the community.
  • Liaise with medical leadership to ensure the intern program meets the needs of the organization.
  • Manage volunteers by providing assistance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement volunteer recognition and retention programs.
  • Collaborate with other TrueCare staff to ensure a cohesive and effective volunteer program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social services, health education, public health, or a related field.
  • One to two years' experience in a healthcare-related field, preferably in volunteer management or community outreach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Experience with clinical and non-clinical volunteer placements.
  • Knowledge of public and private social services agencies and community resources.
