Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Alphatec Spine. As a key member of our R&D and Medical Education initiatives, you will be responsible for executing simulated surgical experiences in our cadaveric operative laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cadaver Lab Operations: Prepare cadaveric specimens for surgical lab events, thawing, positioning, draping, and assisting in surgical dissections and/or exposures as needed.
  • Lab Event Set-up and Execution: Identify and/or order necessary instrument and implant sets, organizing and displaying them as appropriate for the procedure(s) to be performed.
  • Specimen Procurement and Handling: Coordinate with tissue banks and vendors to ensure consistent specimen availability, and handle, store, and dispose of specimens in compliance with regulations and corporate policies.
  • Lab Safety and Maintenance: Maintain a safe and clean lab facility, following health hazard and safety regulations, and monitor lab equipment for calibration and/or repair as needed.
Requirements
  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a demanding workload and lab schedule.
  • Excellent Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work within a cross-functional team and matrix management structure.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows, required.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
What We Offer

Alphatec Spine offers a competitive salary range of $22 to $28 per hour, depending on qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity.
