Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Lead Software Architect [C++] to join our dynamic software development team. This role will involve working with state-of-the-art technologies to create products that support our mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams to strategize, design, test, and integrate sophisticated software and systems solutions.
  • Utilize and advance methodologies and scientific principles related to Electronic Warfare (EW) algorithms and real-time embedded processing.
  • Provide insights through field support and testing, enhancing the understanding of our products' impact on operational effectiveness.
  • Drive innovation in product development, overseeing the entire lifecycle from architecture and design to testing and verification.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers, fostering a culture of mentorship and support.
  • Implement modular design and agile development practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable software systems.
  • Maintain necessary security clearances and comply with access requirements for sensitive data.
  • Support off-site operations as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software engineering, specifically in design, development, integration, and testing using C / C++.
  • Proven experience in developing real-time embedded systems, including system-on-chip software design and high-speed data processing.
  • Familiarity with embedded operating systems such as Linux or RTOS in real-time applications.
  • Experience in software algorithm development and testing methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Active U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (STEM preferred) is typically required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with various interfaces and bus standards, including VME, PCI, and Ethernet.
  • Background in software development for Radar or Electronic Warfare applications.
  • Skills in digital and analog signal processing, including experience with ADCs and DACs.
  • Familiarity with FPGA design and development.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic development environment while collaborating with systems and electrical engineers.
  • Experience in customer engagement and requirements gathering.
  • Knowledge of machine learning applications in software development.
