Job Summary:

As a Weekend Shift Manufacturing Engineer at Pacific Scientific EMC, you will lead production support efforts from Friday through Sunday, responding promptly to urgent floor requests, investigating and troubleshooting manufacturing issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve technical operations disruptions for operators and team leaders as first line of technical support to production.
  • Review and interpret product design drawings to develop or revise work instructions and process procedures, to enable operational personnel to produce products in accordance with design specifications.
  • Author rework instructions for nonconformances.
  • Provide technical problem solving and training to operational personnel.
  • Troubleshoot tooling and fixturing used in the production and inspection of products.
  • Champion lean manufacturing practices and principles.
  • Identify and implement process/flow and tooling improvements to increase productivity, quality, and reliability of the manufacturing cells.

Requirements:

  • Experience with machining and assembly operations.
  • Solidworks or other CAD software experience.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

Education and Experience:

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar field; technical discipline or experience in lieu of degree. 2+ years of experience in a technical and manufacturing environment
