Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Team Lead to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of our imaging technologists and ensuring the highest level of quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of imaging technologists
  • Ensure the maintenance of quality patient care and adherence to departmental objectives
  • Promote departmental goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members
  • Lead the activities of assigned imaging services team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives
  • Supervise, hire, train, discipline, and evaluate the performance of staff
  • Prioritize, schedule, assign, and monitor work to optimize operational performance
  • Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and maintain staff credentials and continuing education credits
  • Analyze, recommend, implement, and monitor approved workflow changes
  • Maintain staff adherence to Quality and Infection Control guidelines and equipment maintenance according to state and federal guidelines
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues and ensure compliance to manufacturer specifications
  • Schedule equipment maintenance and repair
  • Participate in developing and delivering training related to modality
  • Participate in evaluating and implementing Performance Improvement related practices
  • Function as a technologist and respond to emergency calls as necessary
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Ultrasound Technology program
  • Current Radiology Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist License in New York State and current ARRT registration or CNMT registration
  • 3-5 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership experience

Additional Salary Detail

The salary range for this position is $75,020-$126,250/year. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity).
