Summary/Objective

The Instructional Support Specialist works within designated preschool or kindergarten classrooms, providing essential instructional and clerical assistance under the guidance of classroom educators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a courteous and efficient manner.

Physical Demands

The physical requirements necessary for this role include:

  • Occasionally lifting, pushing, or moving up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a 9-month, part-time position requiring 30 hours per week. The work schedule includes 7.5 hours per day from Monday to Thursday during core business hours.

Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree, 60 college credits from an accredited institution, or satisfactory results on an Arizona state-approved competency exam (ParaPro).
Preferred Experience

Experience working with children or students is advantageous.

Certifications/Licenses

First Aid/CPR certification and/or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training may be required.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Candidates must pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card through the appropriate state department.
