As a prominent manufacturer in the toys sector, we cater to the attraction, gift, and souvenir markets. Our diverse product range often includes customized items, and maintaining an efficient inventory system is crucial for fulfilling customer orders consistently. Our operations are centralized in a key location, with support functions in other areas.

In this role, the Procurement Specialist will be integral to the purchasing team, responsible for acquiring essential materials and products for the organization. Key responsibilities include managing Material Requirement Planning (MRP), sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Collaboration with various departments is essential to align purchasing activities with the company’s financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, focusing on enhancing Supplier On-Time Delivery, Lead-times, and Pricing while optimizing inventory levels.
  • Procurement Process: Collaborate with Demand Planning to execute MRP decision reports, send timely quotes and purchase orders, and analyze reports for accurate purchasing and shipping decisions.
  • Cost Management: Negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements with suppliers, run cost variance reports, and support Product Development and Sales teams with quotes for new business.
  • Inventory Management: Work with inventory control teams to ensure accurate stocking levels and coordinate inventory arrivals, including receipt audits to identify variances.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep CRM information current, maintain Purchase Order Logs, and ensure all purchasing activities are completed accurately and timely.
