Purchasing Category Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage request for information (RFI), proposal (RFP) and quote (RFQ) documents to source goods and services in line with business requirements.
- Analyze and evaluate vendor quotes and proposals to determine the most suitable suppliers based on price, quality, experience, and capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships to achieve corporate and procurement objectives.
- Collaborate with business departments to gain a deep understanding of their core business and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Execute various sourcing and supplier-related initiatives with the support of the Purchasing Category Manager.
- Create purchase orders using Zycus workflow process and departmental policies and procedures.
- Develop and execute contractual agreements in Zycus iContract and Docusign, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Evaluate vendor performance against established service level objectives.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for a range of products and services.
- Prepare vendor recommendations for decision-making, including recommendations for the global procurement committee.
- Obtain necessary approvals from Finance, Accounting, Executive Management, and supporting departments while maintaining internal controls.
- Maintain detailed audit files for Professional Services-related services.
This is a 12-month contract with potential for extension. The role is hybrid, with two days spent in the office per week.
