Job Summary

Century Park Associates is seeking a highly skilled Regional Maintenance Services Director to oversee the development and implementation of maintenance services programs in assigned areas or regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance services and be able to lead a team to ensure the highest level of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative and Planning
    • Develop and implement maintenance services goals and objectives for assigned areas or regions
    • Assist with labor and expense control budget compliance
    • Recruit, interview, and hire maintenance directors
    • Provide training to new maintenance directors on maintenance services best practices
    • Ensure accurate maintenance records and equipment inventory
  • Maintenance Services Duties
    • Serve as community maintenance director as needed
    • Ensure staff is properly trained on safety protocols and procedures
    • Direct all maintenance programs for heating, cooling, water, gas, electrical, mechanical, grounds, carpentry, painting, sprinklers, fire alarms, plumbing, building exteriors, etc.
    • Monitor community and grounds regularly to identify needed repairs or replacements
    • Complete minor repairs and ensure apartments are ready for residency
    • Ensure safety inspections are completed timely
    • Implement effective pest control programs and preventive maintenance schedules
  • Essential Functions
    • Travel extensively, including overnight stays, to support maintenance services programs
    • Plan, supervise, and direct maintenance programs
    • Inspect equipment and systems regularly for proper functioning and safety
    • Handle incoming and outgoing freight, and lift and move heavy furniture and equipment
    • Follow company policies, including harassment, code of ethics, complaint procedures, safety, sanitation, confidentiality, dress code, open door, and resident rights
    Requirements
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of three (3) years' maintenance experience in senior housing industry
    • Demonstrated knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
    • Knowledge of local building codes and ordinances, including OSHA safety regulations
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel extensively
    • Valid driver's license in current state with satisfactory driving record
    • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
    • Knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in assisted living or independent living communities
