Department Overview:
Teach North Texas (TNT) is a distinguished undergraduate program focused on training secondary mathematics, science, and computer science educators. It is recognized as one of over 50 national UTeach replication sites, where seasoned secondary educators mentor pre-service teachers in applying innovative teaching practices.
Position Summary:
The TNT program, in partnership with the Mathematics Department, seeks applications for a full-time lecturer role. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching four courses or sections each semester throughout the academic year, with a primary focus on developmental mathematics courses while also contributing to the TNT program.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the relevant teaching field.
- At least five years of experience in secondary mathematics education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Mathematics or Education.
Licensure:
Secondary Mathematics teaching certification is mandatory.
Work Schedule:
Schedule varies based on assignment.
