Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician - Public Health Specialist to join our team as a Regional Medical Director. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical consultation and guidance to health department clinics and other healthcare providers in the region.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standing orders to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor APRNs and other healthcare professionals in the region.
  • Collaborate with local communities and healthcare organizations to promote public health and prevent disease.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness and response efforts, including planning, training, and investigation of public health emergencies.
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in South Carolina or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting or completion of a residency program.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in public health or a related field, and/or relevant training as a CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer.

  • Competitive salary: $175,000 - $185,000 per year.
