Position Overview:
The Forest Highlands Association is dedicated to maintaining a pristine environment by ensuring all facilities are kept in immaculate condition. The role involves performing extensive cleaning tasks, including floor maintenance, wall washing, and waste removal. Responsibilities may also encompass routine upkeep activities and alerting management regarding repair needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly clean building floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Service, clean, and restock restrooms.
  • Transport linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning supplies.
  • Handle laundry responsibilities.
  • Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness in rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, locker rooms, kitchens, offices, and administrative areas.
  • Polish and clean furniture and fixtures.
  • Wash windows, glass partitions, baseboards, walls, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning solutions.
  • Dust furniture, pictures, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water with detergents or acids as per specifications.
  • Adhere to safety protocols when using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
  • Safely use personal protective equipment such as masks, goggles, and gloves.
  • Move heavy furniture as necessary.
  • Lift and handle supplies weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Notify management of repair needs.
  • Request necessary cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Restock all containers in restrooms and public areas.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or department managers.

Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates must effectively perform each essential duty. The following qualifications are necessary:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with two years of high school education.
  • Minimum of six months related experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective communication skills with guests, management, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Reasoning skills to follow instructions and solve problems.

Physical Requirements:
  • Trunk strength for continuous support of the body.
  • Flexibility to bend, stretch, and reach.
  • Manual dexterity for handling and moving objects.
  • Static strength to lift and carry objects.
  • Oral comprehension for understanding spoken information.
  • Equipment selection skills for determining necessary tools.

Compensation:
Salary is set at $18.00 per hour.
