Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at First Citizens Bank. As a key member of our Wealth Management department, you will be responsible for overseeing all finance functions, ensuring timely financial regulatory filings, and managing external audit relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Oversight: Manage all financial information for Investor Services, including income statements and balance sheets. Prepare and review compliant financial regulatory reports and respond to inquiries from regulators.
  • Financial Review: Develop and maintain processes to increase efficiencies, regulatory compliance, and accuracy in financial reporting. Ensure correct receipt of commissions, revenue, and expense accounting.
  • Business Strategy: Identify and recommend strategies for improving the financial performance of the Wealth Management division. Provide analytical information to executive management and lead projects involving business analysis and strategic planning.
  • Managerial Functions: Establish and monitor expectations to achieve company and department goals. Manage the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain productive vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and assist in problem-solving.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Brokerage Finance OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Brokerage Finance
  • License or Certification Type Preferred: Finance and Operations Principal Series 27, 24, 7, 63, 65/66, 53
  • People management experience preferred
  • Skill(s): Knowledge of accounting, securities industry rules and regulations, and computer programming logic
