At CAROLINA LEGAL ASSOCIATES, we are seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential real estate closings, with experience in a law firm setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage pre- and post-closing duties, ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Order and review title searches, identifying potential issues and resolving them efficiently
  • Prepare and issue title commitments and final policies, maintaining accurate records
  • Develop and distribute closing documents/packages, including HUD forms, to all relevant parties
  • Collaborate with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and law firm personnel to ensure seamless transactions
  • Process disbursements, ensuring accurate and timely payment

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in residential real estate closings, preferably in a law firm environment
  • Proficiency in SoftPro and MS Office Suite, with ability to learn new software quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Associate's degree preferred, but not required
