Position Summary: The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee the overall performance of the site and third-party logistics (3PL) in relation to safety protocols, timely shipping and receiving, and facility management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to establish and maintain a safe working environment, addressing unsafe behaviors and conditions proactively.
  • Supervise shift leaders to ensure effective performance of their responsibilities.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to all warehousing operations.
  • Oversee third-party logistics partners in external warehousing operations.
  • Manage all inventory transactions to maintain accurate records of all goods.
  • Conduct the Cycle Counting process to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Utilize the Warehouse Activity Monitoring function within the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of all warehouse equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain an inventory of all shipping and warehousing-related supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including spill reporting and cleanup.
  • Oversee compliance with shipping documentation and package labeling as per regulations.
  • Manage receiving functions and associated documentation.
  • Ensure proper labeling and marking of all shipments by the warehouse team.
  • Complete necessary training for hazardous materials handling.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as defined by corporate safety protocols.
  • Act as the Area Incident Commander during warehouse emergencies.
  • Address complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage warehouse personnel to meet performance standards, including both direct and indirect reports.
  • Operate and interact with the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Perform various physical tasks, including climbing ladders and operating forklifts.
  • Adhere to safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain training standards for all employees.
  • Promote a culture of safety with a focus on achieving a 'Zero Incident' mindset.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar warehouse environment in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Proficient in enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
