Overnight Safety Coordinator

Position Overview:
Citizens Options Unlimited is dedicated to providing exceptional support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Overnight Safety Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and well-being of our facilities during nighttime hours. Compensation: $550 per week.
Key Responsibilities:
The Overnight Safety Coordinator's primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Embodying and promoting the mission of Citizens Options Unlimited in every interaction, emphasizing our commitment to empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives.
- Complying with all applicable regulations, organizational policies, and training requirements as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Acting as a mandated reporter to the appropriate authorities if there is reasonable suspicion of abuse or neglect, while adhering to all incident reporting protocols.
- Ensuring the safety and security of the facility throughout the night, promptly reporting any incidents to the administrative staff on duty.
- Conducting thorough checks of all facilities to identify and mitigate any safety or health risks, while monitoring camper activity to ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Upholding and enforcing all policies, procedures, and regulations set forth by Citizens Options Unlimited.
- Securing all areas of the facility, ensuring that all entrances and exits are properly locked.
- Performing hourly checks of alarm systems in all cabins and documenting findings accurately, following established procedures for head counts and staff notifications.
- Communicating any concerns to the Camp Director in a timely manner, in accordance with the organization's Code of Conduct.
- Completing any additional tasks as assigned by supervisory staff.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of all required background checks as mandated by OPWDD.
