Job Overview

W3Global Inc is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for providing inspection, surveying, and construction administration services for structural renovation/rehabilitation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and comprehend construction documents, including blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Calculate, prepare, and review construction estimates and other related materials.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors, owners, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Prepare written reports, letters, field reports, and minutes of meetings to document project progress and issues.
  • Inspect existing field conditions and determine appropriate repairs to ensure project safety and quality.
  • Observe installed work for conformance to design documents and direct contractor personnel to ensure compliance.
  • Provide design and analysis of structural components of buildings and other structures to ensure they can withstand various loads.
  • Determine creative and efficient solutions to engineering issues and provide recommendations to project stakeholders.
  • Prepare and analyze plans for static and dynamic loading to ensure structures can support and resist the loads they are subjected to.
  • Administer construction contracts and coordinate technical submissions prepared by others to ensure project compliance.
  • Review and make recommendations on whether to approve construction shop drawings, submittals, shoring plans, and design calculations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience in structural engineering or a related field.
  • EIT certification and PE license are a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of structural design software is a plus.
  • Effective communication and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Transportation to and from offices and project locations.
  • US citizenship or green card holder.
