About the Role

Sinai Chicago is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our Nuclear Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic procedures and delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures according to established policy and procedure, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with IEMA standards, maintaining proper sterile techniques to prevent cross contamination.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists to determine protocol for procedures, utilizing tele-radiology equipment for off-hour interpretation of NM exams.
  • Assist Radiologists and ED Physicians in identifying pathology and reporting urgent findings in a timely manner.
  • Maintain patient and staff safety by following radiation protection measures and requirements.
  • Perform QC on equipment, ensuring proper operation and safety of all devices.
  • Report equipment problems in a timely fashion, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Demonstrate effective business conduct, adhering to HCH Performance Standards and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities, monitoring services to ensure delivery according to hospital policy and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Licensed by the IEMA (Division of Nuclear Safety) and registered by ARRT and/or CNMT.
  • CPR certification and compliance with PPD requirements.
  • Minimum new graduate from an accredited NM program.
