Key Responsibilities:

As a Clinical Laboratory Specialist, you will:

  • Independently conduct technical procedures, including both emergency and routine patient assessments.
  • Ensure quality control and perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Utilize your professional expertise to analyze and interpret test results, particularly in cases of abnormal findings.
  • Engage in quality management processes as necessary.

The Core Laboratory encompasses various sections, including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, and Urinalysis. Evening shifts will involve responsibilities in Central Lab Microbiology, while night shifts will cover Blood Bank and Stat Microbiology.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: MT, MLS, or MLT certification by ASCP, AMT, or a recognized professional organization is preferred.
  • Education and Experience: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, along with a B.S. degree and successful completion of an accredited MT/MLS program, or equivalent qualifications.
