Job Summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral and Mental Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of inpatient behavioral health services across our system.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in behavioral and medical needs assessment and coordination for behavioral health patients.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to develop and implement strategies for improving behavioral health throughput and reducing barriers to admission.
  • Work closely with the Central Access Team to identify and address placement barriers and resource needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical and administrative leaders across the system to support program development and implementation activities.
  • Manage projects and initiatives to improve behavioral health services and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts.
  • 5 years of inpatient psychiatry unit and/or emergency department experience required.
  • 5 years of nurse leader experience, such as flow coordinator, access nurse, bed control, supervisor in a psychiatric setting, inpatient behavioral health charge nurse or clinical coordinator.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with an attention to detail, ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and projects, meet deadlines, and manage schedule.
  • Experience with data analytics and ability to work in a highly transparent and visible data-driven decision-making environment.
