About the Role

Bridgeways is seeking a highly skilled Employment Specialist to join our Social and Community Service team. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with mental health concerns in finding employment opportunities in Snohomish County.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide vocational assessment, service coordination, job development, and job placement services to assist individuals in achieving their employment goals.
  • Offer case management, information, and referral to other community resources, as well as supportive counseling using Motivational Interviewing techniques.
  • Assist individuals in obtaining necessary documentation for benefits and coordinating service provision.
  • Represent Bridgeways in community and regional activities, committees, and work groups as requested.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience working in a social service or behavioral health agency, or 1 year of experience working with adults with chronic and persistent mental health concerns, or lived experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a social science-related field.
  • Ability to practice empathetic listening, humility, curiosity, and self-awareness, and work collaboratively with individuals with varied personalities, disabilities, cultures, and interests while maintaining healthy boundaries.
  • Proficient with PC, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams, and ability to learn and utilize electronic medical records for confidential and safe record-keeping.

  • Full-time, non-exempt position with a salary range of $25.00 per hour, DOE.
