Position Summary
The Senior Operations Research Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our analytical initiatives. This position is essential for enhancing operational efficiency and resource management through advanced analytical models and decision support systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects focused on the design and development of operations research models and decision support systems.
  • Oversee a team of professionals, including full-time staff, contractors, and interns, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Utilize operations research methodologies and technical skills to deliver effective decision support tools and systems.
  • Collaborate with various business units to identify areas for improvement and develop project proposals, ensuring successful project execution.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Evaluate and implement best practices to enhance operational maturity.
  • Recruit and develop talent, focusing on team training and skills enhancement.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and departmental standards in all work efforts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving IT, business partners, and external vendors.
  • Regularly communicate project status updates to senior management.
  • Apply knowledge of industry best practices, optimization techniques, and emerging technologies in operations research.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or Mathematics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
  • 5 years of experience in operations research and optimization modeling, with proficiency in techniques such as Linear Programming (LP) and Non-Linear Programming (NLP).
  • Familiarity with solvers like CPLEX or Gurobi, and discrete event simulation tools such as ARENA or AnyLogic.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, C++, Java, and SQL for data analysis and implementation.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and relational databases.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Operations Research, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in a managerial capacity within operations research.
