Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Sedation Appointments: Assist with monitoring patients undergoing sedation, including hooking them up to monitoring equipment, starting IVs, and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Prepare Patients for Sedation: Follow pre-operative protocols, obtain medical clearances, and conduct interviews as necessary.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Collaborate with the dental team to ensure thorough documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and sedation records.
  • Assist with Dental Treatments: Assist with dental treatments as instructed, including taking and recording dental histories and patient records, preparing instruments, cleaning treatment areas, sterilizing equipment, and instructing patients in oral hygiene.
Requirements:
  • Current BLS Certificate
  • Current OSHA and HIPPA Certificates
  • North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced Certification
  • Nitrous Monitoring Course
  • Strong Knowledge of Infection Control and Sterilization Protocols
  • Excellent Organizational Skills
