Job Title: Dental Assistant II

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant II to join our team at our Wakefield location.

We are committed to providing exceptional patient care and a positive work environment. As a Dental Assistant II, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the dentist in providing high-quality dental care to patients
  • Prepare and present treatment plans to patients, ensuring they understand their treatment options
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently, taking into account potential obstacles
  • Maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Collect and record patient health histories, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Assist with patient management during dental procedures, providing a calm and reassuring presence
  • Complete instrument cleaning and sterilization, as well as post-op sanitization of treatment rooms
  • Prepare dental materials and equipment as needed for scheduled treatments
  • Complete dental charting, ensuring accurate and detailed records
  • Assist with inventory management and other ancillary duties as required
Requirements:
  • DAII Training or equivalent
  • Preferred 2-5 years of Dental Assistant experience
  • Achieved CDA certification, or completed radiological equivalency exam through NC State Board of Dental Examiners, or completed CODA-accredited dental assisting program
  • CPR certified, or will become CPR certified within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to professionally present clinical information regarding treatment plans and insurance information to patients
  • Knowledge of Eaglesoft and/or Denticon software a plus
  • Regular and timely attendance
  • Ability to demonstrate independent thinking and exercise good judgment, ability to formulate, affect, interpret, and/or implement operating practices
  • Ability to demonstrate a teamwork approach to job responsibilities
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, dependability, and promptness
  • Must perform frequent repetitive work with attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to be flexible and accept different work assignments within the practice, including traveling to other locations, with a positive approach
  • Ability to follow instructions and take responsibility for own actions
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality with patients and patient care
  • Must listen attentively for clarification to ensure necessary outcomes
