Dental Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled General Dentist to join our team at Oakpoint LLC. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dentistry services to our patients. Your expertise in general dentist procedures, including restorative, crowns, and bridgework, removable dentures, anterior and molar endodontic procedures, and simple and surgical extractions, will be invaluable to our practice.
Responsibilities:
- Must be comfortable with general dentist procedures, including restorative, crowns, and bridgework, removable dentures, anterior and molar endodontic procedures, and simple and surgical extractions.
- Good bedside manner is essential for providing excellent patient care.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with support staff.
- Experience with placing implants is preferred but not required.
- Teach patients how to use recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as dentures and retainers, and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene.
- Examine patients' teeth thoroughly using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments to spot signs of dental diseases and determine the overall state of dental health.
- Supervise dental assistants, dental hygienists, associate dentists, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans.
- Implement and coordinate preventive dental care treatments, such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services, such as whitening, when indicated.
- Seek consultation with dental specialists, such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, or periodontists, when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Experience required.
- North Carolina Dental License.
- Unrestricted and current state license in good standing.
- CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications are required.
- Possess strong bedside manner and great communication skills.
- Board Eligible and/or Board Certified in General Dentistry.
- Relevant knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is an asset.
