Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate EMT to provide basic emergency and non-emergency paramedical care to patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of emergency medical procedures and be able to work effectively in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide emergency medical care to patients in need
  • Respond to emergency calls and transport patients to medical facilities
  • Perform medical services and continue to provide care during transport
  • Maintain composure in stressful situations and assess medical situations
  • Transfer patients safely onto and lift stretchers into ambulances
Requirements:
  • Illinois Licensure as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
  • Skills and experience to function with proficiency at the BLS level of service
  • Must successfully pass Region XI CNEMS System Entry process
  • Current CPR card
  • Consent to a criminal background check
  • Ability to lift/push/pull at least 150+ lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PHTLS Certificate
  • ITLS Certificate
  • National Registry Certification
