Salary:

The estimated hourly salary for this role is $23.20 - $38.80, dependent on local veterinary licensing, experience, and advancement through our competency assessment tool.

Job Description:

As an ICU Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in our Emergency department. Your primary responsibilities will include inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia in patients, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment to ensure the highest level of care.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation. You must be proficient in obtaining and interpreting blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting a veterinarian to changes and issues.

You will also be responsible for identifying patients at risk for arrest and initiating CPR. Additionally, you will need to properly calculate medical math, including constant rate infusions, and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
