Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Support Professional to join our team at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. In this role, you will provide direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of licensed personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
* Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships and promote effective teamwork with patients, families, coworkers, and the community to meet customer service goals.
* Perform direct patient care activities while maintaining maximum comfort and safety of patients.
* Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
* Obtain and maintain accurate patient data and documents appropriately in medical records, including vital signs, intake, and output, height, and weight, etc.
* Recognize and communicate changes in patients' vital signs, physical, and/or mental condition to the Registered Nurse.
* Provide personal care assistance with activities of daily living to patients, including bathing, dressing, eating, drinking, oral care, elimination, and transportation.
* Assist the Registered Nurse in skin care, including repositioning, cleaning of wounds, and pressure ulcer prevention.
* Demonstrate ability to assist in patient transfers effectively and safely.
* Respond appropriately to emergency situations or unplanned events.
* Assist with falls prevention activities on the nursing area, responding quickly as appropriate to enhance patient safety.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required; Licensure as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Tennessee preferred.

Salary Information:
This position is compensated with an annual salary range of $35,000 - $45,000, based on qualifications and experience.
