Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Summit Medical Group at Deane Hill, a division of Summit Medical Group. This is a full-time opportunity requiring a current, active State of Tennessee License in Practical Nursing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performing Procedures: The successful candidate will perform procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, holter monitors, and X-rays (if certified).
  • IV Therapy and Patient Preparation: They will also perform intravenous therapy, if needed, and escort patients to exam rooms, preparing them for examination or procedure according to physician preferences.
  • Clinical Skills and Judgement: Our ideal candidate will exhibit sound clinical skills in assisting physicians with procedures, administering medication, and providing patient education.
  • Communication and Administration: They will receive and return phone calls regarding patient needs promptly, utilizing sound clinical judgments, and maintain stocked, neat, and clean examination rooms and common work areas on a daily basis.
  • Administrative Tasks: The LPN will adhere to established policies and procedures, including OSHA guidelines, perform clerical duties necessary for physician-patient interactions, contact patients regarding test results, and schedule office and outpatient appointments efficiently.
  • Record-Keeping and Teamwork: They will pull and prepare patient records for physician review, contribute to site-level Quality Improvement Activities, and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

  • Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with additional vocational or college credits preferred.
  • Experience: Six months of experience in a similar clinical setting is desired.
  • Certification: A current, active State of Tennessee License in Practical Nursing is mandatory, with Chest and Extremity X-Ray certification being advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:
