Academic Leadership Opportunity

Nexford University seeks a visionary Chief Academic Officer to drive academic excellence and shape the future of higher education. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic vision for our academic model and offerings, ensuring they remain relevant and innovative in an ever-changing global landscape.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision and plan for Nexford's academic model and offerings, incorporating current and future global trends, including the adoption of artificial intelligence.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the academic operations teams, including Success Advisors, Admissions, and Faculty, to support learners and drive academic success.
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive innovation and adoption of technology across the academic operation, enhancing learner retention and outcomes.
  • Develop and oversee all academic policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with institutional data, market needs, and learner outcomes.
  • Conduct continuous improvement initiatives and program evaluation, informing strategic decisions and driving academic excellence.

Requirements:
  • An earned doctorate from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role within online higher education.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and foster collaboration across academic operations.
  • Strong track record in driving innovation in higher education, particularly through technology adoption and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience partnering with compliance teams and managing accreditation processes in a higher education setting.
  • A high degree of accountability, transparency, and the ability to execute with urgency.
