  • Reusable Blueprints and Templates: Develop reusable blueprints, templates, scaffolding, and runbooks to streamline and automate common repeated activities and solutions in client projects.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years minimum experience in cloud, platform engineering, DevOps, and operations with a proven track record building complex applications for clients.
  • Cloud Services Architecture: Strong understanding of cloud services architecture, design patterns, and best practices on the GCP platform.
  • Terraform Expertise: Extensive experience authoring Terraform cloud automation code.
  • GitLab Expertise: Extensive experience with GitLab and CI/CD processes and integrations.
Required Skills
  • Terraform Expertise: Deep hands-on technical experience building bespoke infrastructure automation solutions using Terraform.
  • GitLab Expertise: Deep hands-on technical experience with GitLab, including architecting solutions for clients, migration planning and execution, code review and approvals, integration with 3rd-party tools, and security best practices.
  • GCP Cloud Platform Expertise: Deep hands-on technical skills with the GCP cloud platform, including configuration management, architecture, migration planning and execution, cloud native application design, cloud networking, etc.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in agile methodologies with agile project tools (Scrum, Kanban, Jira).
  • Cloud Governance: Experience in several of the following domains: cloud governance, cloud cost optimization/FinOps, observability experience, including monitoring, IT operations management, CMDB, SRE, etc.
  • Containerization: Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Packer, Docker).
  • Event Streaming and API Management: Experience with event streaming and API management.
  • Application Modernization: Experience with application modernization/application development in Java,.NET, or other major enterprise language, with experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP native services (e.g., functions, managed databases).
  • Databases: Familiarity with one or more databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB, Cassandra.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Certifications Required
  • GCP-Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer: If not currently held, the successful candidate will be required to obtain at least one within 90 days of commencing the role.

Unique Requirements
